President Jokowi Receives Candidate Names for 2022-2027 OJK Board of Commissioners Members

President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo Monday (03/07) received the Selection Committee for candidates of the 2022-2027 Board of Commissioners members of the Financial Services Authority (OJK) at the Bogor Presidential Palace, West Java province.

“Today, we, the selection committee for candidates of the 2022-2027 Board of Commissioners members of the OJK, appear before the President to report the results of the selection and the 21 candidates,” said Minister of Finance Sri Mulyani who also helms the selection committee.

The list of names of the 21 candidates is as follows:

A. Candidates for Chairperson of the Board of Commissioners concurrently member:

1. Mahendra Siregar;
2. Darwin Cyril Noerhadi; and
3. Iskandar Simorangkir.

B. Candidates for Deputy Chairperson concurrently member and Chairperson for the Ethics Committee:

1. Mirza Adityaswara;
2. Marwanto; and
3. Mohamad Fauzi Maulana Ichsan.

C. Candidates for Executive Head of Banking Supervision concurrently member:

1. Dian Ediana Rae;
2. Agusman; and
3. Ogi Prastomiyono.

D. Candidates for Executive Head of Capital Market Supervision concurrently member:

1. Hoesen;
2. Inarno Djajadi; and
3. Doddy Zulverdi.

E. Candidates for Executive Head of Insurances, Pension Funds, Financing Institutions, and Other Financial Services Institutions concurrently member:

1. Pantro Pander Silitonga;
2. Iwan Pasila; and
3. Adi Budiarso.

F. Candidates for Chairperson of the Audit Board concurrently member:

1. Hidayat Prabowo;
2. Sophia Issabella Wattimena; and
3. Budi Santoso.

G. Candidates of member in charge of consumer education and protection:

1. Friderica Widyasari Dewi;
2. Hariyadi; and
3. Difi Johansyah.

Previously, the candidates have passed four stages of selection, namely registration and administrative selection; assessment of input from the communities, track records, and papers; health assessment and examination; and affirmations and interviews.

“In accordance with the provisions of Article 12 of the OJK Law, the President will select and submit 14 candidates for the Board of Commissioners members to the House of Representatives, two candidates for each position. The selection process will then be carried out by the House,” she said.

For the record, on December 24, 2021, the President has issued Presidential Decree Number 145/P of 2021 on the Establishment of Selection Committee for Candidates of the 2022-2027 Board of Commissioners members of the OJK. The committee consists of nine people representing elements of the Government, central bank Bank Indonesia, and the general public. (TGH/UN) (FI/MUR)
