President Jokowi Receives Courtesy Call from Malaysian PM

President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo, Wednesday (10/11), received courtesy call from Prime Minister of Malaysia Dato’ Sri Ismail Sabri Yakoob, at the Bogor Presidential Palace, West Java.

Upon arrival at the Palace, PM Dato’ Sri Ismail was welcomed by marching band, cavalry, and personnel of Presidential Security Details (Paspampres).

President Jokowi warmly welcomed the arrival of the PM. Both leaders then took part in a welcoming ceremony held in the Palace complex. On this occasion, national anthems of both countries were reverberated.

Before entering the Palace, both leaders introduced their respective delegations. President Jokowi was accompanied by Minister of Foreign Affairs Retno Marsudi, Minister of Finance Sri Mulyani, Minister of Education, Culture, Research and Technology Nadiem Makarim, and Minister of State Secretary Pratikno.

After taking a group photo and signing a guestbook, the President and the PM had a veranda talk. Afterwards, both leaders are slated to have a bilateral meeting and a joint press conference. (TGH/AIT/SLN) (RAS/LW)
