President Jokowi Receives Credentials from 12 Ambassadors of Friendly Countries

President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo received credentials from 12 Ambassadors Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary from friendly countries at the Credential Chamber, Merdeka Palace, Jakarta, on Monday (10/23).

The submission of the credentials was started with the reverberation of the national anthems from the friendly countries respectively after the ambassadors arrived at the palace. The 12 Ambassadors from the friendly countries received by President Jokowi were as follows:

  1. Sandeep Chakravorty, Designate Resident Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of India to the Republic of Indonesia;
  2. George Monteiro Prata, Designate Resident Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Federative Republic of Brazil to the Republic of Indonesia;
  3. Daniel Blockert, Designate Resident Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of Sweden to the Republic of Indonesia;
  4. Dominic James Robert Jermey OBE CVO, Designate Resident Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland to the Republic of Indonesia;
  5. Tomáš Ferko, Designate Resident Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Slovak Republic to the Republic of Indonesia;
  6. Mohammad Boroujerdi, Designate Resident Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Islamic Republic of Iran to the Republic of Indonesia;
  7. Nicholas Panayiotou, Designate Resident Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Cyprus to the Republic of Indonesia;
  8. Gustavo Ricardo Coppa, Designate Resident Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Argentine Republic to the Republic of Indonesia;
  9. Denis Chaibi, Designate Resident Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the European Union to the Republic of Indonesia;
  10. Shorna-Kay Marie Richards, Designate Non-Resident Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Jamaica to the Republic of Indonesia based in Tokyo, Japan;
  11. Stefán Haukur Jóhannesson, Designate Non-Resident Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Iceland to the Republic of Indonesia based in Tokyo, Japan;
  12. Robert Miky Takata Pimentel, Designate Non-Resident Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Dominican Republic to the Republic of Indonesia based in Tokyo, Japan.

The credentials submission marked the commencement of their official duty in Indonesia. Following the submission, Indonesia’s national anthem Indonesia Raya was reverberated.
