President Jokowi Receives KAHMI Representatives at Bogor Presidential Palace
President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo, Friday (09/30), received the Alumni Corps of the Islamic Students Association (KAHMI) National Assembly at Bogor Presidential Palace, West Java province.
Presidium Coordinator of KAHMI National Assembly Ahmad Doly Kurnia Tandjung explained that KAHMI representatives invited President Jokowi to attend the Association’s national conference that will be held in November.
“KAHMI will hold a national conference on November 24 to 27, 2022. The President is already willing to be present in Palu, Central Sulawesi province to open the conference,” said Ahmad Doly.
In addition, Ahmad Doly added, President Jokowi also gives a number of directives regarding the KAHMI’s role to contribute to the national development in the future.
“Earlier, we also received directives about the KAHMI’s future role to contribute to national development,” he added.
In that meeting, the President also described the difficult situation currently being faced by Indonesia and the world. The Government is grateful for Indonesia’s remarkable efforts which placed Indonesia among several other countries that are considered capable in tackling the COVID-19 pandemic and restoring the national economy.
Nevertheless, the President expressed his hope for all national elements, including KAHMI, to continue to work together in maintaining the situation, added Ahmad. The President also encouraged KAHMI to contribute to Indonesia’s development in the future.
