President Jokowi Receives Quranic Manuscripts in C. Java

On the second day of working visit to Central Java province, President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo Thusday (09/21) received a mushaf (quranic manuscript) from Rector of the University of Quranic Science (UNSIQ), at Mohammed bin Zayed Mosque, Surakarta city, Central Java province.

The mushaf was written by an expert team of the UNSIQ. When it is opened, its dimension is 2 meters long, 3 meters wide, and 25 cm high.

Afterwards, President Jokowi headed to Adi Soemarmo Air Force Base in Boyolali regency to carry on his working visit to Samarinda city, East Kalimantan province. In Samarinda, he is slated to monitor staple food prices in Merdeka Market.

He is also scheduled to visit Penajam Paser Utara regency, East Kalimantan to observe development progress of supporting facilities in the Nusantara Capital (IKN), to inspect a nursery in Mentawir, and to commence the first filling of Sepaku Semoi Dam.

Later in the afternoon, the President will commence the groundbreaking of Nusantara Hotel, located in the IKN. (BPMI of Presidential Secretariat/UN) (RAS/MMB)
