President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo, accompanied by Cabinet Secretary Pramono Anung, Tuesday (08/08) received the Central Executive Board of the Muhammadiyah Student Association (PP IPM) at the Merdeka Palace, Jakarta.
Chairperson of the PP IPM Nashir Efendi said that the meeting with President Jokowi aims to convey the plan for the 23rd IPM Congress which will be held in Medan city, North Sumatra province.
“Thank God, today the Muhammadiyah Student Association, I, Nashir Effendi, the Chairperson, accompanied by several Vice Chairpersons and members, met and talked to Mr. President, Joko Widodo to extend an invitation to the opening of the 23rd Muhammadiyah Student Association Congress which will be held from August 18-20 in Medan city, North Sumatra province,” Nashir said.
Through this meeting, Nashir expressed hope that the President could attend the opening of the IPM Congress which is set to take place on August 19, 2023.
“The cadres of the Muhammadiyah Student Association are eagerly anticipating his attendance and he will also share his advice, counsel, and directives, as well as speak about the role of the Muhammadiyah Student Association in welcoming the Golden Indonesia 2045,” Nashir said.
