President Jokowi Receives Warm Welcome During Visit to West Nusa Tenggara’s Utan Market
As part of the working visit to West Nusa Tenggara, province President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo and the First Lady Ibu Iriana Joko Widodo Thursday (12/29) visited Utan traditional market in Sumbawa regency.
At the market, President Jokowi and the First lady were enthusiastically welcomed and greeted by the sellers and the people at the market. The President also handed over social aids to the sellers that can be used to improve their business capital.
During the two-day working visit, President Jokowi also inaugurated permanent houses in Bima regency built to relocate the local people impacted by tropical cyclone Seroja that hit the province in 2020. The President also inaugurated Beringin Sila Dam in Sumbawa regency.
A number of markets were also visited by President Jokowi to distribute social aids for the targeted beneficiaries.
On Thursday (12/29) at around 14.00 Central Indonesian Time, the Head of State and the First Lady headed to Zainuddin Abdul Madjid International Airport in Central Lombok regency from Beringin Sila helipad onboard the Indonesian Military’s Super Puma helicopter before heading back to Halim Perdanakusuma Air Base, Jakarta onboard presidential aircraft Bae-RJ85 at 15.00 Central Indonesian Time.
Regent of Sumbawa Mahmud Abdullah attended the send-off ceremony at Beringin Sila helipad, while Governor of West Nusa Tenggara Zulkieflimansyah and Regent of Central Lombok Lalu Pathul Bahri attended the send-off ceremony at Lombok international airport.
