President Jokowi Reinaugurates Manahan Sitompul as Constitutional Court Justice

President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo on Thursday (30/4), inaugurated Manahan Sitompul as a Constitutional Court justice for his second term of 2020-2025, at the State Palace, Jakarta. His previous term ended on 28 April.

The ceremony was begun by singing the national anthem, Indonesia Raya, and was followed by the reading of the Decision of the President of the Republic of Indonesia on the Reappointment of Constitutional Court Justice Ambassador from the Supreme Court by Secretary of the Ministry of State Secretariat Setya Utama.

Manahan was sworn-in based on Presidential Decision Number 42/P of 2020 on the Reappointment of Constitutional Court Justice Ambassador from the Supreme Court.

The decision was made in Jakarta on 24 April 2020 by President Jokowi.

” I do solemnly swear by God that I will fulfill the obligations of the constitutional court justice in the best and fairest way possible. To uphold the 1945 Constitution of the Republic of Indonesia and execute all laws and regulations in accordance with the 1945 Constitution of the Republic of Indonesia, and dedicate myself to the service of the nation and the people,“ Manahan said in his oath before the President.
