President Jokowi Reiterates Government Officials Neutrality in 2024 Election

President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo once again emphasized that all state civil apparatus and personnel of the Indonesian National Defense Forces (TNI) and the National Police, both at the regional/city level and the central level, must maintain their neutrality in the 2024 elections.

“I need to say that all officials of the regional governments, provincial governments, district governments, city governments, and the central government must all be neutral. All ASN must be neutral. All TNI personnel must be neutral. All police must be neutral,” said the President during his working visit to the Nusantara Capital toll road construction project area, North Penajam Paser regency, East Kalimantan province, on Wednesday (11/1).

Regarding information about the removal of party attributes when President Jokowi made a working visit to Bali, President Jokowi appealed the related regional governments to communicate with party administrators in the regions.
