President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo appealed to taxpayers to immediately file their annual tax return before the deadline on 31 March 2021.

For the record, the Head of the State on Wednesday (03/03/2021) at Merdeka Palace reported his tax return online through the e-filing application.

“Today I reported the tax return online through e-filing. I have reported tax without having to come to the tax office for five years. Very easy,” he said.

The President also reminded the people that the tax they pay will be highly valuable to the country to support the recovery and social aid programs during the pandemic.

“The tax we pay is much needed to support economic recovery programs, to boost the people’s purchasing power, and to support health recovery program such as vaccinations and social protection during the pandemic,” said the President. (Bureau of Press, Media, and Information/UN) (DH/EP)
