President Jokowi Reshuffles Indonesia Onward Cabinet

President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo Wednesday (06/15) inaugurated two ministers and three vice ministers at the State Palace in Jakarta.

These ministers and vice ministers are to assist him in running his administration along with Vice President Ma’ruf Amin during the remainder of the 2019-2024 service period.

The two newly-installed ministers are Zulkifli Hasan as Minister of Trade and Hadi Tjahjanto as Minister of Agrarian Affairs and Spatial Planning/Head of the National Land Agency.

The inauguration was based on Decree of President of the Republic of Indonesia Number 64/P of 2022 on the Dismissal and Appointment of Ministers of the Indonesia Onward Cabinet of the 2019-2024 Period signed by the President in Jakarta on June 15, 2022.

Meanwhile, the three inaugurated vice ministers are Wempi Wetipo as Vice Minister of Home Affairs, Afriansyah Noor as Vice Minister of Manpower, and Raja Juli Antoni as Vice Minister of Agrarian Affairs and Spatial Planning/Head of the National Land Agency.

These vice ministers were installed based on Decree of President of the Republic of Indonesia Number 24/M of 2022 on the Dismissal and Appointment of Vice Minister of the Indonesia Onward Cabinet of the 2019-2024 Period signed by the President in Jakarta on June 15, 2022.

President Jokowi recited the oath of office to be repeated by the ministers and vice ministers after the Presidential Decrees were read aloud.

“I do solemnly swear to uphold the 1945 Constitution of the Republic of Indonesia and to execute all laws and regulations in the fairest way possible, to dedicate myself to the service of the nation and the state. In carrying out my duties, I will uphold job ethics, do my best to fulfill my responsibility,” the oath reads. (TGH/UN) (DH/LW)
