President Jokowi Reviews Mekaar Program at Kemayoran
In order to be a successful entrepreneur, one must work harder and be disciplined, President Joko Jokowi Widodo said during a review on Fostering Economy for Prosperous Families (known as Mekaar) Program from state-owned community development institution PT Permodalan Nasional Madani (PNM), at Kemayoran, Central Jakarta, Saturday (26/1).
The President reminded that the recipients must build and uphold trust, both from the lenders and the customers. Trust, the President continued, can be built by paying installment on time and maintaining product quality. Once the trust is lost, it will be hard to get it back, he added.
Thus, President Jokowi said, discipline is very important so that the fund lender company can have trust and gradually increases the amount of borrowed money.
The Government wished the Mekaar Program recipients can level up their credit from Mekaar to Peoples Business Credit (KUR) Program, with loan money can be up to Rp25 million – Rp500 million, President Jokowi said, adding that among 524 recipients on the occasion, more than 100 of them will be able to level up into KUR Program as soon as possible.
Also present during the event were, among others, Cabinet Secretary Pramono Anung, Minister of State-owned Enterprises Rini Soemarno, Governor of Jakarta Anies Baswedan, and Chairperson of the DKI Regional House of Representatives (DPRD) Prasetya Edy Marsudi. (FID / JAY / ES)
