President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo Wednesday (02/02) rode his motorbike during North Sumatra’s working visit.

President Jokowi rode the modified Kawasaki W175 from Sibisa in Toba regency to Bebas Parapat beach in Simalungun regency.

According to the President, the air around Toba Lake is so fresh that he decided to ride his bike to enjoy it.

Moreover, the President also inspected road infrastructure around the area that is 80 percent finished.

For the record, an 11-kilometer route passed by the President offered stunning views. President Jokowi added that the winding road around Toba Lake made it distinguished from that of in Mandalika, West Nusa Tenggara province.

“In Mandaika (West Nusa Tenggara) the road is straight, the road here (around Toba Lake) is winding. That’s the difference,” the President said.

Furthermore, the President expressed hope that the finished road infrastructure can be connected and integrated with other tourist attractions. However, it is impossible to integrate all roads immediately considering that there are priority projects and others are set to be classified as the next projects, he added.

Also joining the President during the ride were Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs and Investment Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan, Minister of Public Works and Public Housing Basuki Hadimuljono, and Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy Sandiaga Uno.
