President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo has said he is ready for a reconciliation meeting with Presidential and Vice Presidential Candidates Prabowo Subianto and Sandiaga Uno.

“Yes, (the meeting) can be held anywhere, even while riding horses, in Yogyakarta, or while riding the MRT (Jakarta Mass Rapid Transit),” the President told reporters after visiting Sukawati Market and the temporary location of Sukawati Art Market in Gianyar, Bali, Friday (14/6).

The President’s statement came in response to the advice from Yogyakarta Governor Sri Sultan Hamengku Buwono X during the President’s visit to Yogyakarta, Saturday (6/6). During the visit, the Sultan expressed hope for an immediate reconciliation between both presidential candidates, Jokowi-Ma’ruf Amin and Prabowo Subianto-Sandiaga Uno.

“Most importantly, we have to join hands to advance this country and to build this country,” President Jokowi said. (AIT/AGG/ES)
