President Jokowi Says Jakarta Must Provide 100,000 Doses of Vaccine Per Day

President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo Monday (14/06) inspected mass COVID-19 vaccination at Pluit dam in North Jakarta.

The mass vaccination targeted as many as five thousand people, consisting of general public and workers.

According to the President, capital Jakarta is targeted to provide 100 thousand doses of vaccine per day, adding that this target aims to achieve herd immunity in August this year and immediately curb the spread of COVID-19 in the capital.

The President added that he had ordered Minister of Health Budi Gunadi Sadikin and Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan to coordinate COVID-19 vaccinations to achieve the target that has been set.

“I have talked to Minister of Health and Governor of DKI Jakarta about the management of the vaccination and preparation of the vaccine stock. We have calculated them. Insyaalllah, everything will run well and smoot,” President Jokowi remarked. (DND/UN) (AP/EP)
