On Friday (12/02), President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo accompanied by Minister of State Secretary Pratikno visited the residence of Ferry Mursyidan Baldan, former Minister of Agrarian Affairs and Spatial Planning/the National Land Agency (ATR/BPN) who passed away on the same day at age 61, to offer his condolences to the family.

During the visit, President Jokowi was welcomed by the former Minister’s wife. Also seen on the former Minister’s residence were former Vice President Jusuf Kalla and spouse.

Innalillahi wa inna ilaihi rojiun (Verily, to God we belong and verily, to Him we shall return). First and foremost, I would like to express my sincere condolences to Mrs. Hanifah Husein for the passing of Ferry Mursyidan Baldan. May God accept his soul and give him the best place by His side,” President Jokowi stated.

The President also said that Ferry was a hard working person and great communicator.

“He was a very good person, great worker, and good communicator who was friendly to everyone. I think our country’s political world has lost a great model,” he concluded. (BPMI Presidential Secretariat/AIT) (GWH/HD/MMB)
