President Jokowi Shows Appreciation for Holding of Hannover Messe 2023

President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo Monday (04/17) extended appreciation for the organization of the world’s largest industrial and technological fair Hannover Messe 2023.

The President said that Indonesia is honored to be the first country in ASEAN selected as an official partner country at the Hannover Messe.

“This is the largest and most important event for industry and technology in the world. This is an exhibition about the future. This is where the future holds,” President Jokowi said in his statement after reviewing several booths at Hannover Messe 2023 with German Chancellor Olaf Scholz and First Lady Ibu Iriana Jokowi.

At the fair, which was participated by more than 90 countries, Indonesia adopted the theme “Making Indonesia 4.0”. According to the President, the theme is very relevant to the condition of Indonesia which is currently undergoing an economic transformation.

“It is the key to increasing productivity through downstream industry and green economy,” the President said.

In addition, through Hannover Messe 2023, Indonesia aims to show its identity as a land of opportunity and a future manufacturing hub that will always be welcoming to cooperation and investment. The President cited the partnership between Germany and Indonesia as a great North-South partnership.
