President Jokowi Signs Government Regulation on Holiday Bonuses for State Apparatuses

President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo announced that he has signed a Government Regulation on Idul Fitri holiday bonuses for retired state apparatuses, civil servants, the Indonesian National Defense Force (TNI) soldiers, and the Indonesian National Police (Polri) officers on Wednesday (23/5).

“Different from last year, there is something special this year because Idul Fitri holiday bonuses are also given to the retirees,” President Jokowi said during a press conference at the State Palace, Jakarta.

The President expressed his hope that the bonuses will be beneficial for increasing the welfare of retirees, civil servants and military as well as police personnel for welcoming Idul Fitri.

“We would also expect them to improve their performance and the quality of public services,” the President concluded.

Also accompanied the President during the press conference were Vice President Jusuf Kalla, Minister of Finance Sri Mulyani Indrawati, Minister of State Apparatus Empowerment and Bureaucracy Reform Asman Abnur, Minister of State Secretary Pratikno, and Cabinet Secretary Pramono Anung.  (MAY/RAH/ES) (GWH/MMB/Naster)
