During his working visit to West Papua province, President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo on Friday (11/24) visited the Pancasila Monument in Tanama village, Fakfak regency.

The Tanama Village Pancasila Monument inscription was erected as a reminder of the struggle of the heroes from Tanama village.

“The Pancasila Monument is very important to remind us about the struggle of the heroes from Tanama village,” said Tanama Village Head Sukur Weripih.

Afterwards, President Jokowi continued to visit the Teluk Bintuni LNG Area in Teluk Bintuni regency to inaugurate the Tangguh Train 3 National Strategic Project (PSN). In the afternoon, the President headed to Sorong regency, Southwest Papua province to carry out the groundbreaking of the PKU Muhammadiyah Unimuda Hospital Sorong.

He then continued visiting Kubu Raya regency, West Kalimantan province to inaugurate the opening of the 32nd Islamic Students Association Congress (HMI) and the 25th women’s wing of the HMI-Kohati National Conference in 2023. (BPMI/UN) (EST/MUR)
