President Jokowi Starts S. Kalimantan Working Visit

After holding a bilateral meeting with the Prime Minister of Singapore Lee Hsien Loong, at the Istana presidential palace in Singapore, President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo departed for South Kalimantan province, Thursday (03/16) using the Indonesia-1 Presidential Plane at around 15.20 local time (WS).

Upon arrival at South Kalimantan of Tabalong regency, the President proceeded to the Tabalong Bersinar Pendopo Compound to attend a mass prayer organized by Rabithah Melayu-Banjar (organization of Melayu Banjar ethnic group). Afterwards, the President will hold a meeting with customary leaders and Tabalong religious leaders at the compound.

The President will then continue his journey to the Tabalong traditional market to hand over some social assistance to the traders. He will also inspect and inaugurate Nan Serunai road in the regency.

After that, the President will return to Banjarbaru city and perform Friday prayers at the Al Munawarrah Great Mosque, followed by the inauguration of the Banjarbakula Drinking Water Supply System (SPAM).

The President will return to Jakarta in the afternoon via Syamsudin Noor International Airport. (BPMI/UN) (EST/MMB)
