President Jokowi Submits Annual Tax Return (SPT) Online in Palembang
In this era of openness, the utilization of information technology could provide convenient access to many activities. It was proven by President Joko Jokowi Widodo who submitted his annual tax return (SPT) online at the Tax Service Counters in Sultan Badaruddin II Airport, Palembang, on Thursday (3/3) 2016.
I think going online can be done not only at the office or at home, like here, we can go online, as long as there is wi-fi (internet network), said President.
President urged all people, who wanted to submit their SPT, to do it online so that they dont have to come to the Tax Office directly. Yes, everyone can submit their SPT both online or offline. To be frank, I think this system speeds up SPT submission process, said President.
Tax Revenue Target
On the occasion, President also mentioned about state revenue target both from tax or non-tax sectors considering our low tax ratio or the level of public awareness to pay tax. Our tax ratio is 11 percent, so it can still be increased, said President. Therefore, President said that they would maximize all efforts to increase state revenue from tax sector including income tax, Value Added Tax (PPN), and taxes from any agency or company.
In this event, President Jokowi was accompanied by Cabinet Secretary Pramono Anung, Minister of Finance Bambang Brodjonegoro, Minister of Public Works and Public Housing Basuki Hadimuljono, Minister of Transportation Ignatius Jonan, and South Sumatra Governor Alex Noerdin. (TKP/SM/EN) (DO/MT/NA/LW)
