President Jokowi Targets to Distribute 1.5 Million Land Certificates to the East Java People

After successfully distributed land certificates in 2017 to the people all over Indonesia, in 2018 the Government has targeted 7 million certificates to be distributed to the people.

“In East Java alone, it has been targeted 1.5 million certificates to be handed over to the people this year,” President Jokowi conveyed in a 3,973 land certificates distribution at Sport Hall Sasana Krida Anoraga, Pasuruan Regency, East Java Province, on Saturday (12/5) afternoon.

On the occasion, the President said the importance of certificates distribution by the Government as there are many reports on land disputes happened in most parts of Indonesia. Therefore, the President stated that he will always aim for target to hand over certificates in every region all over Indonesia.

To the people from Pasuruan Regency and Pasuruan City, Probolinggo Regency and Probolinggo City, Mojokerto Regency to Surabaya City who received 3,973 certificates, President Jokowi noticed the people to take a good care of their certificates.

“Please laminate the certificate and have a copy of it. If it is lost, arrange it directly to National Land Agency,” the President said.

The President has also reminded the people to think it carefully and wisely before put the certificate as a collateral for the bank loan. “Please (think) before go to the bank, can you afford to pay the installment credit?” he uttered.

Also accompanied the President and First Lady Iriana Joko Widodo on the occasion were Cabinet Secretary Pramono Anung, Minister of Agrarian and Spatial Planning/Head of National Land Agency Sofyan Djalil, and East Java Governor Soekarwo. (BPMI Setpres/ES) (EPI/YM/Naster)
