President Joko ‘Jokowi’ Widodo has once again reminded his Cabinet to immediately resolve matters related to investment.

“In reality, we still face problems (related to investment),” the President said in his remarks during the Plenary Cabinet Meeting at Bogor Presidential Palace in Bogor, West Java Monday (8/7).

The President cited the example of land needed for investment in petrochemical industry that was hampered for a year because Ministry of the Environment and Forestry was slow in issuing land permits.

He also cited another example of building hotels in Manado due to the issue of spatial planning permit. Therefore, the President expressed hopes that Minister of Agrarian and Spatial Planning can quickly resolve this problem.

On that occasion, President Jokowi reminded his Cabinet to prioritize integrating tasks between ministries. “If we do not have the courage to face the real problems and challenges in front of us, the problems will remain unsolved,” the President added. (GUN/SM/AGG/ES)
