President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo Saturday (07/23) attended the peak event of the 2022 National Children’s Day in Teijsmann Garden, Bogor Botanical Gardens, West Java province.

President Jokowi arrived at the venue at 09.10 Western Indonesian Time riding a bicycle from Bogor Presidential Palace.

Upon arrival, the President watched a performance of white crane silat performed by children from the Gerak Tubuh Association and showed appreciation for the performance.

Afterward, the President invited several children to play magic tricks together.

In addition, President Jokowi also asked several questions regarding related flora in the Bogor Botanical Gardens. The President also gifted the children who came forward to the stage with a bicycle.

At the end of his dialogue, the President wished all Indonesian children a happy national children’s day. “Keep learning, learning, learning. Don’t forget to pray, pray, pray. Third, take care of your health, don’t forget to wear a mask wherever you go because COVID-19 is still around,” he said.

The peak event was held with a concept of ecotourism education by providing 11 educational booths for children. Inside the booths, the children can both play and learn from the games available. (AIT/UN) (FI/MMB)
