President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo on Wednesday (3/2) met with five governors in the islands of Java-Bali to discuss measures to intensify restrictions on community activities (PPKM) with a micro-based approach as well as to strengthen 3T (testing, tracing, and treatment) measures.

“I have met with Governor of Jakarta, Governor of the Special Region of Yogyakarta, Governor of West Java, Governor of Central Java, and Governor of Bali so we can make effective restrictions on community activities,” the President said during a press statement video uploaded on Cabinet Secretariat YouTube channel, Thursday (04/02).

The Head of State also pointed out that a micro-based approach is key to improving the effectiveness of the implementation of restrictions on community activities policy.

“Implementation of restrictions on community activities at the micro, village, neighboring unit (RT) and community unit (RW) levels is the key,” he said, while calling for greater efforts in the implementation of the 3T measures.

The President has also appealed to the Governors to continue reminding the public to remain disciplined in observing health protocols.

“Don’t forget to remind the public about 3M: wearing a face mask, washing hands, maintaining a safe distance,” he remarked. (FID / UN) (MUR / EP)
