President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo has reminded micro and small businesses actors to always strictly follow health protocols when doing business.

“Stay cautious. Always wear a face mask. Washing hands and keep distance with consumers,” President Jokowi said during a dialog with recipients of Working Capital Assistance at Bogor Presidential Palace in West Java province, Tuesday (29/9).

The President also said that the COVID-19 pandemic does not only affect Indonesian people but also people in 215 countries in the world.

Business actors have also experienced a sharp decline in revenue during the pandemic, including micro, small, medium and large businesses, he added.

“The conditions and challenges are exactly the same for all business actors, including micro, small, medium, as well as the big ones, ”he said.

For this reason, President Jokowi called on the recipients of assistance to survive and work harder.

“Under condition like this, the most important thing is to keep up the spirit. Don’t give up, keep up the spirit and do not let the condition dampen your spirit,” President Jokowi said, while reminding everyone to use the assistance wisely and not to spend it for consumptive goods.  (TGH/UN)
