President Jokowi Tells National Police Personnel To Continue Safeguarding Honor, Pride

During commemoration of the 74th Anniversary of the National Police Day (Bhayangkara Day) at the State Palace, Jakarta, President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo ordered personnel of the National Police to continue upholding and practicing the noble values of Tribrata (way of life) and Catur Prasetya (work guidelines) in every performance of their duties.
The President also ordered the personnel to safeguard their honor, trust, and pride as member of the National Police.
Personnel of the National Police, he added, must also carry out total self-reformation, build a participatory, transparent, accountable system and governance as well as build a professional, modern and reliable work culture.
In addition, the Head of State also ordered personnel of the National Police to strengthen internal solidity and create synergy with the Indonesian National Defence Forces (TNI) as well as all elements of the Government and the society in the face of increasingly complex challenges.
Furthermore, the President also called for proactive strategies and persuasive and humanist actions in dealing with social issues that prevail in the community, improvement of modern and professional public services, and conducting legal handling in a transparent and fair manner so the National Police can gain a bigger trust from the public.
The President also ordered the National Police maintain public discipline in implementing health protocols so the people can stat productive but safe from COVID-19.
He also called on the National Police to participate in national economic recovery in accordance with the authority of the National Police with full responsibility.
“May Allah Subhanahu Wa Taala, the Almighty God, always bless our steps in serving the people, the nation, and the country. Long live the National Police of the Republic of Indonesia. Be the main servants of the state and the nation,” the President said. (TGH/EN)
