President Jokowi to Attend Hannover Messe, Meet PM Scholz

On the second day of his working visit to Germany, President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo Sunday (04/16) took a morning walk around the hotel in Hannover.

President Jokowi—accompanied by Cabinet Secretary Pramono Anung, Minister of State-Owned Enterprises Erick Thohir, Minister of Investment/Head of the Indonesian Investment Coordinating Board (BKPM) Bahlil Lahadalia, and Indonesian Ambassador to Germany Arif Havas Oegroseno—seen outside the hotel at around 10:40 local time or 15:40 Western Indonesian Time (WIB).

During the activity, the President greeted some Indonesian citizens he met. Subsequently, he returned to the hotel.

In the afternoon, President Jokowi is slated to hold a business meeting with several German private companies. Afterwards, he will head to Hannover City Hall to sign the State Capital Golden Book.

After the signing, the Head of State is scheduled to attend the opening of Hannover Messe with German Chancellor Olaf Scholz at Hannover Congress Centrum (HCC).

Ending the second day, the President will head to the Lower Saxony Government Guesthouse to attend a bilateral meeting and banquet with the German Chancellor. (BPMI Presidential Secretariat/AIT) (GWH/LW)
