President Jokowi to Attend National Christmas Celebration in Manado

image-48-300x229President Joko ‘Jokowi’ Widodo accompanied by First Lady Ibu Iriana Joko Widodo, on Monday (26/12) afternoon, went to Manado, North Sulawesi, to attend the 2016 National Christmas Celebration in Minahasa Regency.

The Head of Press, Media, and Information Bureau of Secretariat of the President Bey Machmudin, in his press release on Monday (26/12) afternoon, said that before continuing the trip to Minahasa, the President and his entourage will spend the night in Manado.

On Tuesday (27/12), President Jokowi is scheduled to visit Kuwil Dam, in North Minahasa Regency. The President is alsi scheduled to inaugurate Lahendong Unit 5 and 6 as well as Ulubelu Unit 3 Geothermal Power Plants (PLTP) in Tompaso Subdistrict, Minahasa Regency.

“In the afternoon, in Wale Ne Tou Building in Tondano, Minahasa Regency, the President as well as First Lady Ibu  Iriana Joko Widodo will attend the 2016 National Christmas Celebration that will be also attended by around 17,000 people,” Bey said.

After attending the Celebration, according to Bey, the President and his entourage will take off to El Tari International Airport, Kupang, East Nusa Tenggara, to continue the working visit.

On this occasion, the President as well as First Lady Ibu Iriana are accompanied by Cabinet Secretary Pramono Anung, Minister of Public Works and Public Housing Basuki Hadimuljono, and Special Staffs to the President Sukardi Rinakit and Gories Mere.
