President Jokowi to Attend Plenaries, ASEAN Retreat in Cambodia

On the third day of his working visit to Phnom Penh, Cambodia, President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo Friday (11/11) is slated to attend the opening ceremony of the 40th and 41st ASEAN Summits, visit a photo exhibition, and attend the launch of the book “Cambodia’s Contribution to ASEAN”.

Afterwards, the President is also scheduled to attend the plenary sessions of the 40th ASEAN Summits followed by the retreats of the 41st ASEAN Summit.

“On November 11, ASEAN leaders will hold several meetings, including the ASEAN Summit that will be held in the forms of plenaries and retreats,” Minister of Foreign Affairs Retno Marsudi said in a press statement inPhnom Penh, Thursday (11/10).

In the afternoon, she added, the President then will continue his schedule by attending a number of summits with ASEAN Dialogue Partners, namely the ASEAN-People’s Republic of China Summit, the ASEAN-Republic of Korea Summit, and the ASEAN-UN Summit.

After attending all summits and events at the Sokha Phnom Penh Hotel, President Jokowi will head back to the hotel where he is staying to continue his work agenda the next day. (BPMI of Presidential Secretariat/AIT) (RIF/LW)
