President Jokowi to Cast Vote for Jakarta Regional Head Election

President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo participated in the process of matching and verification process of voter data for the 2024 simultaneous regional elections, at the Merdeka Palace, Jakarta, Wednesday (07/24). The matching and verification process was carried out by a voter data updating officer from Gambir sub-district.

“President Jokowi has met the [voter data updating] officer and verified the data that have been collected by the KPUD (Regional Election Commission),” Acting Governor of Jakarta Heru Budi Hartono said after accompanying the President.

During the process, President Jokowi showed his identity card (KTP) and family card (KK) to be verified with the existing data. After the verification process completed, the President received a proof of registration and a sticker to be affixed at the palace’s door.

Head of Data and Information Division of the General Elections Commission (KPU) Betty Epsilon stated that President Jokowi and First Lady Ibu Iriana have been officially registered as voters in the 2024 simultaneous regional elections. They are registered to vote at polling station (TPS) number 06 of Gambir sub-district.

On the occasion, Chairperson of the Jakarta KPUD Wahyu Dinata expressed appreciation to the President for willing to participate in the process and encouraged the public to check their names on the voter list.
