President Jokowi to Ensure 2025 State Budget Bill Includes Upcoming Government Programs
President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo Monday (08/05) at the Merdeka Palace, Jakarta, chaired a limited cabinet meeting on the Government Work Plan, Financial Note, and the 2025 State Budget Bill.
According to the President, the current Government will accommodate all of the President-elect’s policies for 2025.
“I’d like the 2025 State Budget Bill to include all of the President-elect’s programs,” the President said.
On that occasion, the President went on to say that it is also crucial to remain aware of global economic risks.
“Be aware of the risks of a global economic slowdown, including those related to interest rate policies and geopolitical tensions, which could potentially lead to a food crisis and rising oil prices,” he stressed.
The Head of State called for the optimization of state revenue targets, improvement of ease of investment, and simplification of export processes for domestic products.
“Please take measures to optimize state revenue targets. I want to particularly highlight the importance of simplifying both investment procedures and the process for exporting products,” he said.
Concluding his remarks, the President anticipated that the 2025 State Budget Bill will be targeted and not attempt to cover every program.
“It would be much better if the 2025 State Budget Bill focused on key areas rather than trying to cover everything,” the President remarked. (KS/ABD) (RIF/RAS/LW)
