President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo explained that his visit to Australia this time is to follow-up on the completion of the ratification of the Indonesia-Australia Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (IA-CEPA).

The IA-CEPA has been completed and approved by the House of Representatives (DPR).

“So one of the agenda in Australia is to follow up the agreement, ” the President told reporters on Sunday (9/2).

According to the President, the key element of the agreement is to increase openness between Indonesia and Australia so that cooperation on trade, investment, and tourism sectors between the two neighboring countries can be more robust. (MAY/EN)
