President Jokowi to Hold Bilateral Talks during APEC Summit

On the second day of his working visit to Bangkok, Thailand, President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo Friday (11/18) is set to attend the Asia Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Summit.

Starting the day, President Jokowi is scheduled to hold a bilateral talk with Prime Minister of New Zealand Jacinda Ardern at the Kimpton Maa-Lai Hotel, Bangkok, and subsequently headed to the Queen Sirikit National Convention Center, Bangkok to attend the retreat of 29th APEC Economic Leaders Meeting (AELM).

The President is also slated to attend the APEC Leaders and Invitees Informal Dialogue session. Several non-APEC leaders are invited to attend the session, including French President Emmanuel Macron, Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Sen, and Saudi Arabia’s crown prince Mohammed bin Salman.

Afterward, President Jokowi will hold a bilateral meeting with Hong Kong Chief Executive John Lee followed by a luncheon with APEC Leaders and Invitees.

The Head of State is also scheduled to hold a bilateral meeting with Prince Mohammed bin Salman of Saudi Arabia and attend the APEC Leaders Dialogue session with the APEC Business Advisory Board (ABAC) and visit the Bio-Circular-Green (BCG) Exhibition in the afternoon.

Concluding the working visit, President Jokowi will have an audience with the King of Thailand at Chakri Maha Prasat Throne Hall and then head to Jakarta from Suvarnabhumi International Airport and expected to arrive in the evening. (BPMI Presidential Secretariat/UN) (GWH/MMB)
