President Jokowi to Inaugurate 4G BTS, Operation of Satria-1 Satellite in N. Sulawesi

President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo Thursday (12/28) departed for North Sulawesi province to continue his working visit on the second day. Using the Indonesia-1 Presidential Airplane, the President and his entourage took off from Juanda International Airport in Sidoarjo regency, East Java province at approximately 06.45 Western Indonesia Time.

A number of East Java’s high-ranking officials were seen to see the President off, namely East Java Governor Khofifah Indar Parawansa, Commander of Military District V/Brawijaya Major General Rafael Granada Baay, East Java Regional Police Chief Inspector General Imam Sugianto, Commander of Armada II Admiral Denih Hendrata, Commander of Air Force Operations II Air Vice Marshall Budhi Achmadidan, and Commander of Juanda Naval Aviation Center Admiral Sisyani Jaffar.

In North Sulawesi, President Jokowi will start his visit by visiting one of the markets in Talaud Islands regency to check the prices of a number of basic necessities.

Afterwards, the President will head to the North Bowombaru Base Transceiver Station (BTS) to inaugurate the operation of the BAKTI 4G BTS signal and internet access in underdeveloped, frontier and outermost (3T) villages, and to inaugurate the operation and integration of the Republic of Indonesia Satellite 1 (Satria-1).

In addition, the President will also inspect the Karakelang Ring Road in the Talaud Islands regency.

From Talaud Islands regency, President Jokowi will go to the provincial capital Manado City to hand over El Nino Direct Cash Assistance at the Manado Post Office. (Presidential Secretariat’s Bureau of Press, Media, and Information/BPMI) (TM/MUR)
