President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo asserted that he will immediately inaugurate the Heads of President’s Working Unit for Reinforcement of Pancasila Ideology (UKP-PIP), and the Cyber and National Encryption Agency (BSSN).

“Soon,” President Jokowi firmly said after attending a communal fast-breaking at the official residence of the House of Representatives’ (DPR) Speaker Setya Novanto, on Monday (5/6) evening.

When asked about the candidates to be inaugurated by the President, he asked the reporters to wait until the inauguration. “You will know when the inauguration takes place,” the President added.

When it comes to the inauguration of Jakarta definitive Governor, President Jokowi admitted that he has not received the Letter of the Minister of Home Affairs on the inauguration of acting Jakarta Governor Djarot Saiful Hidayat as Jakarta definitive Governor.

“I have not received it yet,” the President said.

However, President Jokowi hopes that the inauguration can be held as soon as possible so that these agencies can immediately carry out their tasks and functions.

“I want the inaugurations, be it of the Heads of UKP-PIP and BSSN, or Jakarta Governor to be conducted as soon as possible if the processes are completed,” the President stated.

For the record, on 19 May 2017, President Jokowi signed Presidential Regulations Number 53 and Number 54 of 2017 on BSSN and Legal Basis of the Establishment of UKP-PIP) respectively. (BPMI Setpres/ES) (RA/M/YM/Naster)
