President Joko ‘Jokowi’ Widodo has urged the House of Representatives (DPR) and other related ministries concerning the revision of Law on Terrorism which has been submitted on February 2016 to conclude it soon. “It has been 2 years, (it) must be enacted soon in the next session period, that is on 18 May,” the President requested at Jakarta International Expo, Kemayoran, Jakarta, on Monday (14/5) morning.

The President firmly said that the revision is important as it is a legal umbrella for (governmental) apparatus and the Indonesian National Police (Polri) to take actions on both prevention and counteraction. “If on June, at the end of session period, it has not yet been finished, I will issue a Government Regulation in Lieu of Law (Perppu),” the President concluded.
