President Jokowi to Meet PM Anwar Ibrahim, King Sultan Abdullah of Malaysia

President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo and First Lady Iriana Jokowi Wednesday (06/07) arrived at Kuala Lumpur international airport 15.40 local time.

The President and his entourage were welcomed by Minister of Foreign Affairs of Malaysia Daro’ Seri Diraja Zambry Abdul Kadir and spouse and Indonesia’s Ambassador to Malaysia Hermono and spouse at Airport’s Bunga Raya VIP room.

President Jokowi, accompanied by the First Lady, continued his working visit in Malaysia on Thursday (06/08).

The President and the First Lady headed to Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim’s official residence.

At the PM’s official residence, President Jokowi and PM Anwar Ibrahim were scheduled to hold a tête-à-tête and witness the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the two countries, while First Lady Iriana Jokowi will attend the reception with Dato’ Deri Dr. Wan Azizah at Putrajaya Lake Cruise.

President Jokowi and PM Anwar Ibrahim are also scheduled to inspect Chow Kit market, have coffee, lunch together.

After having lunch with the Prime Minister, the President and the First Lady will head back to the hotel to meet Deputy of Prime Minister of Malaysia.

On the last working visit agenda, President Jokowi and First Lady Iriana Jokowi were slated to meet King of Malaysia Yang di-Pertuan Agong Sultan Abdullah and Empress at the State Palace of Malaysia. (BPMI SETPRES/AIT) (AP/EP)
