President Jokowi to Meet with PM Lee of Singapore for Leaders’ Retreat

President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo is scheduled to meet Prime Minister (PM) of Singapore Lee Hsien Loong for leaders’ retreat.

The President took off from the Halim Perdanakusuma Air Force Base, Jakarta on Thursday (03/16) around 7:00 Western Indonesian Time (WIB) using the Indonesia-1 Presidential Aircraft headed to Singapore.

The leaders’ retreat is an annual meeting held by the President of Indonesia and the PM of Singapore. Last year, it was held in Bintan, Indonesia.

Minister of Foreign Affairs Retno LP Marsudi stated that the main focus of this meeting will be to discuss Singapore’s investment in the development of the Nusantara Capital.

“Economy, digital, health, and renewable energy cooperation will be the focus of the discussion,” Retno said in a written message.

Afterward, the President will leave Singapore for a working visit to South Kalimantan province. (BPMI of Presidential Secretariat/UN) (SF/FI)
