President Jokowi to Receive Second Jab of COVID-19 Vaccine

President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo, on Wednesday (27/1) at the Merdeka Palace, Jakarta, is scheduled to get the second dose of the COVID-19 vaccine.

“According to the schedule, the President will receive the second dose of the vaccine tomorrow, Wednesday (27/1),” Head of the Presidential Secretariat Heru Budi Hartono said in Jakarta, (26/1).

For the record, the CoronaVac vaccine produced by China’s Sinovac requires two injections of 0.5 milliliters each with an interval of 14 days. Previously, the President received the first injection on 13 January 2021.

After vaccination, the President is scheduled to inaugurate Commissioner General Listyo Sigit Prabowo as Chief of the Indonesian National Police (Kapolri) at the State Palace to replace Gen. Idham Azis who is entering retirement.

“The inauguration of the Indonesian National Police Chief is also planned to be carried out tomorrow after the President has received the vaccination,” Heru said. (BPMI/UN) (FI/EP)
