President Jokowi to Unveil New Cabinet “As Soon As Possible”

President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo has said that he will retain several existing Cabinet Ministers as well as accommodate new names in the upcoming Cabinet line-up for the period of 2019-2024.

“Yes, there are several existing names and there are many new names,” President Jokowi told the reporters after receiving Speakers and Vice Speakers of the Indonesian People’s Consultative Assembly (MPR), at the Merdeka Palace, Jakarta, Wednesday (16/10).

The President went on to say that the detailed composition of the old and new names has not been decided but the new Cabinet members will be unveiled “as soon as possible” after the Presidential inauguration.

For the record, the Presidential inauguration will be held on Sunday, 20 October 2019, at 14.00 Western Indonesian Times (MAY/JAY/ES).
