President Jokowi to Visit Disaster-hit Regions in S. Kalimantan

President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo on Monday (18/1) began his working visit to South Kalimantan Province.

President Jokowi and his entourage departed from Halim Perdanakusuma Air force Base, Jakarta on Presidential Aircraft at 10.05 Western Indonesia Time (WIB).

Upon his arrival at Syamsudin Noor Air force Base, Banjarbaru City, the President is slated to inspect flood-hit regions in Pakauman District, Martapura Timur Subdistrict, Banjar Regency and Mataraman Bridge which was collapsed as the impact of floodwater.

Before returning to Jakarta, the President is also scheduled to visit evacuation posts to see firsthand the condition of people affected by the disaster and to inspect aids to be distributed to the victims. (BPMI/UN) (RAS/MUR)
