President Jokowi to Visit Three Cities in Southeast Sulawesi

President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo, Tuesday (09/27), is slated to carry out several work agendas in three cities, namely Baubau city, Buton city, and South Buton regency during his working visit in Southeast Sulawesi province.

According to Head of the Presidential Secretariat Heru Budi Hartono, the President will visit several markets and post offices, as well as attend the awarding ceremony of the Sultanate of Buton’s traditional honorary title.

“In Baubau, he will visit the market and the post office before attending the awarding ceremony of the Sultanate of Buton’s traditional honorary title. Following that, he will go to South Buton to check the people’s conditions and ensure the well distribution of government assistance from both Ministry of Social Affairs and Ministry of Manpower,” said Heru in his statement in Baubau city.

Furthermore, Heru stated that President Jokowi is also scheduled to inspect an asphalt factory at PT Wika Bitumen in Buton regency.

“The President will also inspect Wika company regarding the activities of the asphalt company and ensure the conditions on what is required. Of course, it must side with the community and local wisdom,” he said.

Previously, Heru added, President Jokowi also greeted the residents of Baubau city and was met with great public enthusiasm.

“I also saw the President greeting the residents yesterday, and they were enthusiastic to welcome and greet the President, and today he will go to three cities for working visits and greet the residents,” Heru said.

After completing the activities in Southeast Sulawesi province, the President will head to Betoambari Airport to depart for Ternate city, North Maluku province.
