President Jokowi, Vietnamese President Enjoy Arts, Martial Arts Performances in Hanoi

President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo and President of Vietnam Võ Văn Thưởng enjoyed Pencak Silat, a martial arts demonstration of Indonesian origin at the Quần Ngựa Sports Complex, Hanoi, Vietnam on Friday (01/12).

Upon arrival at the venue, President Jokowi was welcomed by the Vietnamese President. Both of them then walked together to the VVIP section.

On the occasion, President Jokowi was offered several art performances that started with the performance of the “Vietnam My Homeland” song. Afterwards, martial arts athletes performed and showed off their moves.

President Jokowi and President Võ Văn Thưởng exchanged warm words during the performance, while watching a cultural performance featuring an Indonesian song “Ayo Mama”.

After the performance, the Vietnamese President invited President Jokowi to come down to the performance arena to take pictures with the athletes and performers. (BPMI of Presidential Secretariat/AIT) (FI/MMB)
