President Jokowi: Virtual Event is New Normal

The COVID-19 pandemic has opened up an opportunity for innovation by using technology, one of which is virtual events, President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo has said.

“In a current situation like this, virtual big conferences have become a new normal,” the President said at the Opening of the XXIII Grand Conference of Ansor Youth Movement 2020, which was held virtually from Bogor Presidential Palace in West Java province, Friday (18/9).

According to the President, various activities that are used to be held face-to-face are now limited and replaced by interaction models using online media.

“I am sure that these new methods will not dampen our enthusiasm to discuss public relations and national issues,” the President said. (TGH/EN)
