President Jokowi Virtually Inaugurates TNI, Polri Youth Officers

President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo inaugurated Youth Officers of the Indonesian National Defense Forces (TNI) and the Indonesian National Police (Polri) during Prasetya Perwira ceremony at the State Palace, Jakarta, Tuesday (14/7).

“On this happy occasion, on behalf of my own name, on behalf of the people, on behalf of the nation, for the inauguration, I congratulate you, the young knight as the youth officers of the TNI and Polri, as young patriots who are the pride of our country, Indonesia,” President Jokowi said.

Furthermore, the President expressed his pride to inaugurate the TNI and Polri youth officers who would become future Indonesian leaders.

The officers were appointed based on Presidential Decree Number 55/TNI/2020 and Presidential Decree Number 56/Polri/2020 on the Appointment of Cadets of the TNI Academy and the Police Academy to become TNI and Polri Officers, read out by the President’s Military Secretary.

On the occasion, four recipients of Adhi Makayasa Award for the best graduates were also read out, namely Angga Andhika Y. from the Military Academy, Rizqy Z. Djuhaeri from the Naval Academy, Juanda Siregar from the Air Force Academy, and Ivan Pradipta M. from the Police Academy. (MAY/EN)
