President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo, accompanied by Minister of State Secretary Pratikno visited the Third President of the Republic of Indonesia, Bacharuddin Jusuf Habibie, who was hospitalized since Friday (24/8) at the Gatot Subroto Army Hospital (RSPAD), Jakarta, Monday (27/8).

The President arrived at 08:46 a.m. WIB (Western Indonesian Time) and was greeted by the Director of the RSPAD Major General dr. Terawan Agus Putranto, Sp. Rad. B.J. Habibie, who was accompanied by his son Ilham Akbar Habibie, visited by President Jokowi for approximately 40 minutes.

According to the President, B.J. Habibie experienced fatigue due to the tight events that were attended in various regions, but now he is gradually recovered. President Jokowi hopes that the ‘Father of Indonesian Technology’ can return to his usual activities.

“Prof. Habibie is now in a very healthy condition. He told me a lot; he was too tired because of having intense activities. But Alhamdulillah (praise be to Allah), now it’s all good,” the President said.

On that occasion, President Jokowi and B.J. Habibie also had the opportunity to exchange ideas about human resources development, which will be the focus of the Government in the future.
