President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo Monday (08/12) inspected a vertical housing for state civil apparatus (ASN) in the new capital of Nusantara (IKN) in North Penajam Paser regency, East Kalimantan province.

On that occasion, President Jokowi reviewed a digital guideline for state civil apparatus (ASN) housing management drawn up to realize a smart city concept in the new capital.

The move showed the Government’s commitment to creating a comfortable housing for ASN that has a state-of-the-art technology to support modern lifestyle in Nusantara.

Through the digital system, he added that management and service of the apartments are expected to run more effectively and efficiently, in line with the vision of Nusantara as a smart city.

To manage the apartment tower, Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing collaborated with state-owned Bank Negara Indonesia (BNI) in developing a digital platform that integrates aspects of smart building, smart home, smart tenant, and smart payment.

Vice President of Wholesale Solution of BNI Head Office Muin Fikri said that state civil apparatus living in the apartment towers are required to conduct an on-boarding process by scanning a QR code and verifying an identity number so that all residents are registered.

Residents can also use an app equipped with several features to make their life at the apartment tower easier, including a smart ordering system to order laundry service from their unit and a reporting feature to file complaint and request repairs and maintenance.

“Turnkey process will be done digitally. All units are equipped with facilities that can be monitored through an app. The final agreement will be signed digitally,” Muin Fikri said.

For tower managers, a dashboard has been prepared to monitor occupancy, check empty or occupied units, and find out the position of residents in the apartment complex, aiming to ensure efficiency and comfort for residents in a modern and integrated environment. (ECH/ABD) (RAS/EP)
