President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo on Monday (9/9) visited the 3rd President of the Republic of Indonesia Bacharuddin Jusuf (B.J.) Habibie who is currently under intensive treatment at Cerebro Intensive Care Unit (CICU) of Gatot Soebroto Army Central Hospital (RSPAD) in Jakarta.

“B.J. Habibie is now under intensive care. His family including daughters-in-law, grandchildren, siblings, and also the sibling of his late wife Ainun, are all standby at the hospital,” said dr. Terawan from the medical team.

Chair of the Presidential Medical Team Prof. dr. Azis Rani said that B.J. Habibie was hospitalized since 1 September 2019 and handled by a team of specialist doctors, such as cardiologist, internist, and nephrologist.

“He needs a comprehensive treatment due to various organ disorders,” said dr. Azis Rani.

The doctor also asked the Indonesian people to send prayers for the recovery of the former Indonesia’s President. (BPMI Presidential Secretariat/ES)
