President Jokowi Visits Maluku, North Maluku, Papua, West Papua, and PNG
After flying since Wednesday (6/5) midnight, President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) and First Lady Iriana Joko Widodo landed on the airport Pattimura Ambon, Maluku, Thursday (7/5) at 06.00 (local time) to begin a series of visits to eastern Indonesia for 5 days (7-11 May).
In Ambon, President Joko Widodo is scheduled to attend the official opening of the National Working Meeting (Rakernas) Association of Indonesian City (APEKSI) and Grand Launching Mangente Ambon 2015.
President is also scheduled to perform handover Family Welfare Card (KKS), Indonesia Healthy Card (KIS) and Indonesia Smart Card (KIP) to some representatives of the people of Ambon.
From Ambon, President Jokowi, and First Lady Iriana will leave for Buru to do Launching Planting of 100 hectares of rice and Inauguration Dam Way Leman. Just as in Ambon, the President will also hand KKS, KIS, and KIP to the representatives of the people on the island of Buru.
After a visit to Maluku, President Jokowi and the entourage will continue visits to North Maluku, on Friday (8/5), for undertake launching the construction of the New Town for the capital of North Maluku province and the inauguration of the infrastructure project.
Furthermore, on Saturday (9/5), President Jokowi and the entourage will proceed to Papua, and West Papua.
On Saturday (9/5), President Jokowi scheduled to perform the groundbreaking facility construction PON 2020, the inauguration of the Institute of Public Administration (IPDN) Campus Jayapura and the groundbreaking of flyover-Hamadi Holtekam.
From Jayapura, President Jokowi continue working visit to Merauke and Manokwari Regency of, West Papua. During a visit in Manokwari, the president inaugurated the submarine cable system, Sulawesi-Maluku-Papua cable system (SMPCS).
After a working visit in the three regions, President Jokowi also will make a state visit to Papua New Guinea on May 12, 2015.
